I had the great fortune of traveling to the RNC National Convention this past week. This was my first time traveling to a convention as part of a delegation, and I was deeply honored. It was a privilege and an honor to represent Carson City and you. I want to acknowledge several people who worked tirelessly to ensure Nevada was seen in the best light during the RNC National Convention. First, Jolette and Michael McDonald spent endless hours in preparations and meetings to prepare for the Convention. It is essential to understand that we are very fortunate that our Chairman, Michael McDonald, has a strong relationship with the future  47th President, Donald J. Trump. Nevada was highlighted numerous times during the Convention, and our chairman had the opportunity to speak at the Convention, which is a tremendous honor. Many thanks go to Jo McDonald, our Delegation Aide, who spent over a week keeping everyone organized with our credentials, the bus schedules, places to be, and the daily schedules of events. Jo's role requires no sleep, excellent organizational skills, and extreme patience. Additional people who need to be acknowledged are the DeGraffenreids, the Rices, and Jesse Law, who helped to keep the delegation polished and professional. The Nevada GOP secretary, Barbara Hawn, came to do official business for the party days earlier. I mention this because these people give unselfishly of their time and money for the good of the party. It became apparent that these people were true patriots who gave unselfishly of their time for the Republican Party of Nevada. It was an honor to travel with these true patriots. Many more people work behind the scenes; if I did not mention your name, you are needed and greatly appreciated. Thank you to all who traveled to the RNC National Convention. We are a proud Nevada delegation. 

The Convention in Milwaukee was one of my life's most exciting patriotic events. It is reported that more than 50,000 people attended the Convention. The people of Milwaukee were amiable and always courteous. From what I could see, the city itself was beautiful. I met people from all over the country, and everyone was a true Trumper.   Seeing President Trump on the first night, when he was coming to the stage with so much emotion, I had to cry. The man Donald J. Trump showed he is a true national hero, one comparable to George Washington. The love that is openly expressed by his children, grandchildren, and daughters-in-law expresses the type of man Donald Trump truly is.   Every day, there was one great speech after another. Peter Navarro gave a heart-pounding, electrifying speech. He was just released from prison that day. What a true patriot. If you have not heard Pastor Lorenzo Sewell from Detroit, Michigan, speak on Thursday night, you must look for that on the YouTube video.  He was on fire and was fantastic.

As the words of Pastor Lorenzo Sewell stated,"  It was a millimeter miracle that we had President Trump with us on Monday night. Say,  Praise Be to God; it was confirmed to be a miracle. If you were not a believer before, maybe you should ponder this atrocity and see that our God had to have a hand over Donald J. Trump. Now, it is our turn to fight, fight,  fight to help save our country. President Trump can now honestly say that he has put his life on the line to save America. Now, I challenge you to step up and help fight to save this country. God bless America.  

My experience at this historic RNC National Convention was extraordinary. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this landmark event.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 6 P.M. TRAINING SESSION TRUMP 47 TEAM

We have some great opportunities to start getting involved. This Wednesday evening, at 6 p.m., we will hold a training session on this election cycle with the Trump 47  team. We will be at the Casino  Fandango, Craft 55 Room. We will also be discussing  Poll Working and Poll training. Poll watching/working is extremely important during this election cycle. 

We will hold our general membership meeting at the Casino Fandango, Craft 55 room on Thursday evening, starting at  6:30 pm.   This month, Sheriff Furlong will speak about our problems in Carson City. We will also host Alidia  Ceballos,  Director of the  Nevada Trump  Campaign. As always, this meeting promises to be an exciting evening. We have a half hour of social time from 6:30, and our meeting starts promptly at 7 p.m. We hope to see you there.

SATURDAY,  JULY 27,  there will be a Trump Rally in front of the  Legislature.

The CCRP  has offered to host people from the Rally at our office with Hot  Dogs and other refreshments starting at 3 p.m. at the headquarters on California  Street. Look on our website for further information.   

On JULY 31, the Heritage Foundation's Nathan Duell will speak about Ranked Choice Voting and the importance of poll watching.

We will meet at the La Capital on College Parkway in Carson City. We invite everyone to join us at 6 pm to order food or drinks, with the meeting starting promptly at 6:30

On AUGUST 1, we will hold another Movie Night at the Casino Fandango, Craft 55 room. The door will open at 6:30, and the movie will start at 7 pm. This month's showing will be Monumental. Monumental is the story of America's beginnings. Presented, produced, and starring Kirk Cameron, the 90-minute true story follows the father of six across Europe and the U.S. as he seeks to discover America's true "national treasure" -the people, places, and principles that made America the most significant,  most prosperous and generous nation the world has ever known.

On AUGUST 2, we will be at the White House, 402 E. Telegraph Street, for our First Friday from 6 to 9 pm. There will be a food truck and music for your eating and dancing. The White House is a great place to spend time with friends and socialize on a lovely summer evening.

All voters must understand how important it is to vote in November; as President Trump says, "We need everyone to vote; make it TOO BIG TO RIG." Just because Harris will probably be the nominee for the Democratic party, they will try and cheat; my thought is that since the Democrats are included with the fake media, they will try and glasslight the public. They will tell everyone that Harris is polling close to Donald Trump, so it will seem plausible that she could win. We are not going to let that happen, are we? Do not believe the polls, and please help us win by ensuring you get ten people to the polls. Voting early is against my Republican Values, but please vote early. Take your ballot to the polls or vote in person, and take your neighbor or friend if they need help. If you can, we may need help to assist people in getting to the polls, and yes, if a neighbor asks if you can take their ballot for them, "It's Legal in Nevada," so take the ballot with you. If you vote early, we will stop sending you text messages urging you to vote. We will not need to stop by and encourage you to vote if you vote early. Voting early also saves resources that would otherwise be wasted in getting other people out to vote.

We need people to help chase ballots during early voting. Please let us know if you are interested in helping with the two weeks of early voting.   Remember what our beloved President Trump said: "Fight, Fight, Fight." We must fight to the end of the November Election. Please stop by our office and find out how you can help; we are in the fight of a lifetime. just five months. The election must do much work; we need to win this election without a doubt. This will require all Republicans to vote, and we need you to vote early during the two weeks of early voting.  We need every voter to vote the entire ballot and vote for all our candidates. Many of you did not participate, so the candidates were selected by those who voted.  The primary is a contest to choose our candidates for the General Election.  Now, we need you to play your important role; you must vote.  Your vote counts: if every Republican votes in the rural counties, we take Las Vegas. National Candidates cannot win without the Rurals, so we must vote for the Candidate for the Senate, Sam Brown. We need to help Sam win; we do not want Jackie Rosen to return to Washington.  We will need to dissect the questions on our ballot once they are finalized.  We have achieved our goal for our initiative for Voter ID on the ballot, thankfully for all of you who helped to collect the 181,000 signatures. We will be continually reminding you to be sure to vote early, and please make sure to encourage ten additional people to vote.  November. The Time is NOW; Republicans PLEASE GET OUT, AND

Interim Standing Committee Hearing/Legislative and Elections

Ballot Chasing

Are you competitive and want to receive rewards for helping with ballot Chasing this fall?  We can have paid ballot chasers, but we can utilize volunteers.  We are developing some very creative programs to reward volunteers who are willing us to donate some severe time to collecting Republican ballots here in Carson City. This is an initiative to encourage people who are prone not to vote even though they are Registered Republican Voters.  If you would like to assist with this, contact the office and let us know you are interested in ballot chasing, the ugly words, and ballot harvesting. 

Door Knocking

John Parrish, one of our great board members, is looking for people to help with door-knocking.  We will be knocking on the doors of people who are Republicans to encourage them to vote and give people important information.   They will walk on Thursdays, meet at the Republican Headquarters at 4 PM, and on Saturdays at 10 AM.  For further information, call John Parrish at (916) 873-2048

4th of July Float in Virginia City

Dear fellow Republicans, we need bags of Candy for the Virginia City parade. We also seek volunteers to help distribute the candy along the parade route. You can drop off the candy at the headquarters or bring it to our next general meeting. We're planning a delightful float and will hand out approximately 8,000 pieces of candy to the adorable children.  Candy is still needed, and we would want walkers to assist with handing it out.    

First Friday

Our next First Friday will be July 5, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Feisty Goat, 1881 E. Long Street. We will continue the 4th of July fun by having games in the parking lot and the all-American Fan Fair food of Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. Come out in your favorite 4th of July Patriotic Clothing and have your first drink with us. Join your fellow friends and conservatives for a fun patriotic evening. 

Mark your calendars for July 24, 6 PM at the Casino Fandango, Craft 55 room for the Nevada GOP training on Poll Watching and Training.  We need numerous people for this all-important work. Josh Skaggs of the Trump Campaign and Nevada GOP will be offering training. We need multiple volunteers for this significant project for the 2024 Election in November.  Everyone is invited, including our neighboring counties.  For further information, call 775 841-1800.

 CCRP General Membership Meeting

On July 25, the Carson City Republican Party will hold its General Meeting, starting at 6:30 PM in the Craft 55 Room in the Casino Fandango. The meeting begins promptly at 7 PM. Our guest speaker, Sheriff Furlong, will address current concerns to the citizens of Carson City, including the frequently asked questions about what is to be done about the homeless people and illegals here in Carson City. This is a unique opportunity for our members to learn and engage with our guest speaker.   As always, we ask for an Angel Donner at our meetings. The Feisty Goat has offered the person who is our monthly donner a Bottle of Wine from their Pub. 

Movie Night

Get ready for an exclusive movie night hosted by the Carson City Republican Party at the Casino Fandango on S. Carson Street in the Craft 55 room on August 1.  The evening kicks off at 6:30 PM, and the movie starts at 7.  This month, we're screening the Monumental Director Duane Barnhart. Kirt Cameron travels across Europe and the United States to discover the people, places, and principles that made America the freest, most prosperous, and most generous nation the world has ever seen. This is an exclusive event for our members and supporters and a privilege to participate in.

Carson City Republican Central Committee Chairman's Corner for June 17, 2024 by Susan Ruch

Our primary was last week, and I have much to report. I want to thank our previous Charman, Paul Strasser, who has, for numerous election cycles, set up our Republican booth at the Community Center during our primary and general elections. Our booth offers information for our voters, a place for people to express their opinions and share their thoughts. I want to thank all the Carson City voters who did their civic duty and voted. We are close to 15,000 Republicans in Carson City. I am pleased to announce that 5,779 Republicans voted in the primary, making our percentage 38.6 % participation from our fellow voters. In most of our previous primaries, the average participation is approximately 32%. Does this indicate that Republicans in Carson are awake and involved? How about the People of Faith? Did they vote in the primary? Sadly, only 50% of people of faith are registered voters, and only 32% customarily vote. Primary elections are crucial; this should be when citizens select candidates who are most aligned with our values. We must realize that the National election is essential, but local races affect us the most significantly.

Focusing on bottom-up races, not top-down ones, is essential in the future. School Board, Board of Supervisor, Judges, Mayor, State Assembly, and State Senate races affect our lives more directly than the national elections. Therefore, investigate the candidates and vote for someone who aligns most with our values. In the future, toward the General Election in November, we will produce a slate card for Republican Candidates to share with our voters. I have enclosed data from our Clerk-Recorder, Scott Hoen, for your review. Please review and understand how much must be done in the next five months. The time is now to get involved. 

Most of us within our bubble have deep concerns for our country. How many people say what can I do? It was suggested on the Royce White show that there is a very doable activity we can easily do from home, and it can genuinely make a difference. As Republicans, we have always wanted not to offend. We are in a spiritual warfare, good against evil, so we need to step up and do what is required to save our country. One great project is to make a list of twenty people that you know. Then, share essential national or local information with these friends, relatives, or neighbors on your list. You may lose a person on this list because they don't want to hear bad news or are not aligned with your values, but do not take offense.

In the Revolutionary War, only 20% of the free population participated. Only about 10% of the population participated in the Civil War.

Today, we battle to save our Constitutional Republic (we are not a democratic government); therefore, you are an exceptional person by getting involved. Contact your selected list members by email, make friendly phone calls, or have tea in whatever way you are comfortable spreading our news.

One fun idea: start your newsletter. Always double-check the information you are sharing to be sure it is accurate. One rule of thumb is to check three different news sources. The news is most likely correct if three news sources report the same information. Once you have achieved a group, you can influence them and suggest they follow the same process. You have officially become an influencer, which is a significant part of the strategy; as I have said many times, knowledge is power, and we share the truth. Truth always wins in our spiritual war, but it will take many years, and this will not be a quick fix, but we march onward.

The General Election is only five months away

A fair election is essential in our Constitutional Republic. The General Election is only five months away, and poll watching and poll working are instrumental in securing our election. In 2022, I heard that the Democrats were uncomfortable that we had so many Poll Watchers observing the election process. We must repeat this activity during the November election. The Carson City Republican Party will be offering some training on the process. We are working out the details now, but please be willing to help in November. To be a Poll Worker, you must apply with your county clerk registrar or county clerk. I have written an essay on the Republican National Consent Decree, which explains why, for over 30 years, the Republican Party was not involved with the poll watching. 2020 was the first time since 1982 that we, the Republican Party, were legally allowed to be monitoring the polls. I hope to have it attached to our website soon, and the information will be available at the headquarters on 1971 California Street. This article will demonstrate why having Poll Watchers and Poll Workers in every county in the state is extremely important.

Our ballot in November will have several questions, and you must understand the outcome of the questions, which will change our constitution. Many of you have assisted with collecting signatures for* Voter ID. We need Voter ID; let's pray we have the 102,000 signatures required to get the question on the ballot. Thank you to all who assisted with this project. We sent 1881 signatures from Carson City. We will know the outcome of this initiative by the end of June. *There will be a question about Rank Choice Voting/Jumbo Primaries on the ballot. Rank Choice Voting = California-style voting, which would be very bad for Nevada, but you must be able to explain this complicated voting method.

We will host Nathan Duell of the Heritage Foundation at our next Membership meeting on June 27. 6:30 PM at the Casino Fandango, Craft 55 Room. His mission is to explain how Rank Choice Voting works and why we must defeat this initiative.

*One more question will be on Abortion. Please educate yourself on this subject. Abortion is codified in our constitution, and women may abort up to 6 Months. The new ballot abortion initiative is trying to push the limit to 9 months and after. Pay attention to the wording, prenatal and postnatal. Postnatal, after birth, which is murder. I am sure this is how California passed this satanic law onto its citizens. People who do not understand the difference between prenatal and postnatal, especially when English is a second language. Postnatal equates to genocide.

The people of Carson City love the uniqueness of our small town. I moved here in 2007 and loved the quaintness, the beauty of blue skies, the mountain views, and the overall charm of Carson. We see things changing dramatically for various reasons, and we have many questions.

At our meeting on July 25, I asked Sherrif Furlong to come and speak to us on serious questions about homelessness, illegals, and the overall safety of our city. Yes, we will give candidates, especially those running for judicial races, an opportunity to speak at that meeting. It all ties together. Please put this on your calendar; I get many questions about what is happening and what our city is doing about these issues. It is important to be informed. Juy 25, 6:30 PM Casino Fandango, Craft 55 Room. We need everyone to be prepared for whatever comes our way.

The CCRP is excited to announce we are holding a fun-filled afternoon on September 21, the Carson City Republican Party Jail House Summer Break Out (Title subject to change).

We will hold our summer event at the Nevada State Prison grounds on September 21 from 12 to 4 PM. This will be a very special afternoon with music, food catered by the Bus Boy, speakers, and much more. We will provide more information soon, and tickets will be on sale by the beginning of July; there will be 30 VIP tickets available, which include a tour of the prison. There are no exceptions; only 30 tickets and two tours will allow only 15 people per tour. We look forward to seeing you there.
