The Nevada Republican Party strongly opposes AB 306, a bill that would expand the use of ballot drop boxes after early voting ends. Nevada already faces serious challenges with election integrity — just look at the 2024 election, where it took weeks to get a final count. The problem isn’t voter access in our metro areas; it’s securing our elections and restoring public trust in the process. Allowing drop boxes to remain open after early voting concludes creates more opportunities for ballot harvesting, chain of custody issues, and potential fraud. Our elections should be focused on accuracy and transparency, not expanding voting windows that create more room for error and uncertainty.

Instead of making our elections more vulnerable, we should be working to strengthen security measures and ensure that every legal vote is counted accurately and efficiently. AB 306 would require a minimum of 10 drop box locations in Clark County and 5 in Washoe County during the three-day gap between early voting and Election Day — a period where current law rightly ensures that ballot processing is secure and controlled. Expanding drop boxes during this time undermines confidence in the system and increases the risk of mishandling and manipulation. Nevadans deserve fair, secure, and transparent elections — not more opportunities for chaos and confusion. Not to mention the additional cost associated with this. We urge the Assembly Committee on Legislative Operations and Elections to reject AB 306 and protect the integrity of our elections.

President Trump addressed the Joint Session of Congress on Tuesday night. The majority of Americans watched as the Democrats humiliated themselves with their rude, childish behavior. They revealed their heartless souls by not acknowledging 13-year-old cancer survivor DJ Daniels and two mothers whose daughters were brutely murdered by illegal aliens. President Trump invited Payton McNabb, a one-time Girls' Volleyball player who has suffered permanent brain damage from being slammed in the face by a transgender man. Meanwhile, the Democrats sat in their seats with their pink coats, not willing to stand or applaud these heroic Americans. The Democrats stated that they stand with women, but on March 3, they voted unanimously to block Senator Tommy Tuberville's bill, "Women and Girls in Sports Act. Our Senators, Rosen and Cortez-Masto, voted to block this bill (you can always check their voting record here). Do they stand with Women? I do not think so for a minute.

As we move into the Mid-Term Elections, we must be involved and understand who stands for Women. The Democrats are prepared to die on this hill even though nearly 80% of Americans do not believe men belong in Women's Sports. In November, Governor Joe Lombardo praised the Wolf Pack volleyball women players for boycotting San Jose State, who has a trans player on their team.

Our Governor is one of 9 Governors who asked the NCAA to bar transgender athletes from women's sports. Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony stands with women. Stavros Anthony has launched a task force to protect women's sports. The irony is that Title 9 was put into place in 1972 to protect women, and now the woke agenda is to have biological men play in women's sports.

Nevada Senator Carrie Buck has introduced bill SB112. This bill would require that if the sport is designated a women's or men's team, only biological people may play that sport. Also introduced and headed to committee is the Assembly counterpart AB240. These bills establish the potential for penalties if schools should retaliate against a student who brings forward an issue of a school violating provisions in the law which disallow the participation of an alternate biological sex participating in a sport designated for a single sex.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford, on February 14, joined a coalition of State Attorneys General to file a lawsuit to block President Trump's executive order banning transgender in the military. All of these Attorneys General are in the Democratic States. There are rumors that Aaron Ford will run for Governor in 2026, but we must remember what Ford stands for.

Please urge our Democratic and Republican Nevada Senators to pass SB112. How many of you have girls in your family who work very hard in their sports? I know I do; my gifted granddaughter plays baseball on a boys' team. She is 8 years old. She holds her own, and this is her last year. The boys are getting stronger, and she will be moving to a girls' team next year. It's just the reality of the physical composition of women's and men's bodies. It is not fair to girls and women to train their entire lives just to have a biological man take all their glory, scholarships, and trophies with minimal effort. Title 9 was meant to protect women in women's sports, and now we are going backward. Where in the world are all the women's activists protecting women? We, the people, need to speak up and vote to protect our women.
